{"id":979283,"date":"2022-02-07T01:30:50","date_gmt":"2022-02-07T01:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/07\/sissala-rural-bank-holds-agm-of-shareholders\/"},"modified":"2022-02-07T01:30:50","modified_gmt":"2022-02-07T01:30:50","slug":"sissala-rural-bank-holds-agm-of-shareholders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/07\/sissala-rural-bank-holds-agm-of-shareholders\/","title":{"rendered":"Sissala Rural Bank holds AGM of shareholders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\n                                                   Tumu, (UWR), Feb. 06, GNA \u2013 The Sissala Rural Bank has organised its 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Tumu with a call on the public to cultivate the habit of saving and patronising the bank.<\/p>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1.21361870.jpg\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" class=\"kMediaObject\"\/><\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">\u202f \u202f \u202fMr Godfrey Baveru Kanton, the board chairman of the bank presenting an annual report to shareholders said, despite all the odds in the banking sector during the period under review, the bank&#8217;s deposit increased to GH\u00a26,231,827.00 in 2020 from GH\u00a24,660,872.00 in 2019,\u202frepresenting 33.7 per cent, which showed that the bank had the capacity to lend and invest to the shareholders.\u202f<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">\u202f \u202f \u202f&#8221;In view of the clean-up exercise in the banking sector by the Bank of Ghana, the Covid-19 pandemic and other negatives, the bank still made modest gains in its operation where total assets, which stood at GH\u00a2 6370,373.00 in 2019 increasing to GH\u00a27,347,363.00 in 2020 representing 15.33 per cent.
