{"id":978817,"date":"2022-02-06T16:25:32","date_gmt":"2022-02-06T16:25:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/06\/black-princesses-humiliates-uganda-to-book-final\/"},"modified":"2022-02-06T16:25:32","modified_gmt":"2022-02-06T16:25:32","slug":"black-princesses-humiliates-uganda-to-book-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/06\/black-princesses-humiliates-uganda-to-book-final\/","title":{"rendered":"Black Princesses humiliates Uganda to book final"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-02-05-at-5.48.21-PM-696x464.jpeg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"WhatsApp-Image-2022-02-05-at-5.48.21-PM\"\/><\/div>\n<p>The Black Princesses of Ghana have qualified to the final round of the FIFA U-20 World Cup qualifiers after beating Uganda 5-0 at the Cape Coast stadium on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Princesses went into the game on the back of a 2:1 advantage from the first leg encounter in Uganda. \u00a0Ben Fokuo\u2019s team started the game in fine form with a decent build-up which gave them an early lead through skipper Evelyn Badu in the 22nd minute.<\/p>\n<p>Salamatu Abdullai, who had many clear chances to increase the lead, finally scored in the 26<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0minute.<\/p>\n<p>After recess, Ben Fokuo brought on Rahama Jafar in the 56th minute and her introduction proved very useful as she scored in the 82nd minute to give Ghana a 3-0 lead.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Salamatu Abdullai gave a lovely pass to attacker, Doris Boaduwaa to head home the fourth for the Princesses. The Young Crested Cranes of Uganda pushed for a consolation but were punished in the 90th minute when the referee awarded a penalty to the Princesses of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Doris Boaduwaa made no mistake by scoring from the spot \u2013 her second on the day to make it 5:0 for the Princesses.<\/p>\n<p>This result puts the Princesses into the final round of qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup as they progressed on a 7-1 aggregate scoreline setting the stage for a final showdown against Ethiopia.
