The Upper West regional minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih has urged Sissala East constituents to dip their hands in their pockets for the needed revenue to be generated for the assembly.

He made the remark as part of his plea to the constituents to cooperate with the municipal assembly to improve its internal generated funds, IGF to undertake the needed infrastructure development in the area.

Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih has however cautioned particularly saboteurs in society who engage in campaigns asking people not to pay their levies and taxes.

“Some of you go out to tell people not to pay levies, you are not patriot if you do that”, he said.

According to him “in advance countries it is the taxes of their people that we go to take us loans” and has therefore urged that “let’s dip our hands in our pockets” to raise enough revenue to address development needs confronting us.

The regional minister was speaking during his tour of the Sissala East constituency to have first hand information about the government’s ongoing projects and also take concerns from the assembly and constituents for redress.

He is expected to tour all the 11 Municipal and District Assemblies in the Upper West region.
