{"id":973720,"date":"2022-02-02T14:45:05","date_gmt":"2022-02-02T14:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/02\/insults-dont-bother-us-rahim-ayew\/"},"modified":"2022-02-02T14:45:05","modified_gmt":"2022-02-02T14:45:05","slug":"insults-dont-bother-us-rahim-ayew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/02\/insults-dont-bother-us-rahim-ayew\/","title":{"rendered":"Insults Don&#8217;t Bother Us \u2013 Rahim Ayew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Rahim Ayew, one of Abedi Pele\u2019s footballing sons has said that his family\u2019s name will forever be remembered in the history of Ghana football.<\/p>\n<p>The Ayew family has produced different generations of footballers who have gone on to play for the Black Stars.<\/p>\n<p>Abedi Ayew \u2018Pele\u2019 was a national treasure in the 1980s and 1990s and was part of the team that won the country\u2019s last AFCON trophy.<\/p>\n<p>He was also named African Footballer of the Year three times and won the UEFA Champions League with Olympique Marseille.<\/p>\n<p>Abedi\u2019s brother Kwame Ayew was also a member of the Ghana national team in the 90s and 2000s, as well as Sola Ayew.<\/p>\n<p>Three of his four children, Rahim, Andre and Jordan, have also gone on to play for the national teams, with Dede being the Black Stars\u2019 current captain.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the contributions of the Ayew family to Ghana football, Rahim said the family\u2019s name has been immortalised.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInsults don\u2019t bother us. If you compare our lives of that of the people who insult us, there\u2019s a big difference. So why should you waste your time on such a person?\u201d he said on Adom TV.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople can try to take us out of Ghana football but the name will still remain. The name [Ayew] will still remain even after some years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat God has ordained, no man can change it.
