Migori\u00a0County\u00a0Assembly\u00a0Speaker\u00a0Boaz Okoth was this morning arrested on suspicion of\u00a0breaking\u00a0into the\u00a0assembly\u2019s\u00a0finance\u00a0office.\n<\/p>\n

County\u00a0Police Commander Mark Wanjala said the\u00a0speaker\u00a0went to the\u00a0county\u00a0assembly\u00a0offices\u00a0at night accompanied by some people.\n<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Speaker\u00a0is said to have broken the door to the\u00a0office\u00a0at midnight and collected some files. <\/p>\n

After his arrest, the\u00a0Speaker\u00a0recorded a statement at the\u00a0Migori\u00a0police station DCI\u00a0office.\n<\/p>\n

Wanjala said the\u00a0Speaker\u00a0will be\u00a0arraigned\u00a0in court and be charged with\u00a0office\u00a0breaking\u00a0offence.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the\u00a0Speaker\u00a0had locked himself at the\u00a0assembly\u00a0premises for fear of arrest.\n<\/p>\n

He was arrested alongside three other suspects.\n<\/p>\n

Some files and computers were loaded into a police vehicle and taken to\u00a0Migori\u00a0police station as evidence. \u00a0 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
