{"id":921205,"date":"2022-01-31T17:28:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-31T17:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/news\/2022\/01\/31\/watch-four-dead-several-others-injured-in-horror-car-crash-along-baden-powell-drive\/"},"modified":"2022-01-31T17:28:00","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T17:28:00","slug":"watch-four-dead-several-others-injured-in-horror-car-crash-along-baden-powell-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/01\/31\/watch-four-dead-several-others-injured-in-horror-car-crash-along-baden-powell-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"WATCH: Four dead, several others injured in horror car crash along Baden Powell Drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/FZA-c.4Wpjb.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<div><!--sse--><\/p>\n<p>Cape Town &#8211; Four people have died and several others were left injured in a horrific car crash along Baden Powell Drive in Mitchell\u2019s Plain.<\/p>\n<p>The incident which took place shortly after 11am on Monday during a police chase after an incident at Mnandi Beach saw a family of four lose their lives while six other people were left seriously injured.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>According to the police, the crash victims, two men and two women succumbed to their injuries while a fifth passenger, a woman who was travelling in the same vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>SAPS spokesperson Andr\u00e8 Traut said: \u201cPolice are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal vehicle accident which occurred this morning at about 11.20am along Baden Powel Drive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInitial reports indicate that a Datsun Go collided with a minibus taxi.
