{"id":916726,"date":"2022-01-16T12:06:07","date_gmt":"2022-01-16T12:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/news\/2022\/01\/16\/this-is-how-the-moti-family-left-sa-after-four-boys-kidnapping\/"},"modified":"2022-01-16T12:06:07","modified_gmt":"2022-01-16T12:06:07","slug":"this-is-how-the-moti-family-left-sa-after-four-boys-kidnapping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/01\/16\/this-is-how-the-moti-family-left-sa-after-four-boys-kidnapping\/","title":{"rendered":"This is how the Moti family left SA after four boys\u2019 kidnapping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/6e2e53df-8a47-50bf-88a6-72cc1b33cf55&#038;operation=CROP&#038;offset=3x0&#038;resize=2003x1127.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<div><!--sse--><\/p>\n<p>Cape Town \u2013 The four Moti brothers are attending school in Dubai, indicating that they have no intention to come back to South Africa, according to a Sunday report.<\/p>\n<p>eNCA reported that the family spent some time in Nairobi, before making their way to Dubai. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>On December 1, the broadcaster reported that six members of the Moti family departed on a Kenya Airways flight to Nairobi, because they could not get into Dubai directly due to a travel ban. <\/p>\n<p>Private investigators have pleaded with the family to assist the police with their investigation.<\/p>\n<p>According to a City Press report, it is believed that the kidnapping might have been an act of revenge, after an illicit money transfer deal went awry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"RelatedArticlescss__StyledRelatedArticles-sc-10g88yu-0 ezIKFV\">\n<h2><span>MORE ON THIS<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The newspaper reported that the transfer was allegedly done through the brothers\u2019 uncle and the individuals who sent the money could not open a case as the money was illegal. <\/p>\n<p>Their solution was to kidnap the boys in a bid for the London-based uncle to come to South Africa and release the money. <\/p>\n<p>According to the report, two of the alleged kidnappers we identified but have since been killed, after \u201capparently being kidnapped\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In October, Zia, Alwaan, Zayyad, and Zidan Moti were on their way to school when a gang of suspects armed with R5 rifles and handguns, broke a window and unlocked their vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>A grey SUV arrived on the scene and the children were bundled into the vehicle. <\/p>\n<p>The boys were found in Vuyani, three weeks after they were abducted.
