Barely a day has passed since the acting chief justice, Raymond Zondo, formally handed the judicial commission of inquiry into allegations of state capture report to President Cyril Ramaphosa, and with so many high-profile leaders implicated and some facing the prospect of spending time in jail, an unthinkable situation has transpired at Justice Zondo’s place of work this morning. <\/strong><\/p>\n PHOTO: Twitter<\/p>\n The report which only comprised of the first part has made some very serious recommendations, which among others include the prosecution of former Transnet CEO, Brian Molefe, former SARS commissioner Tom Moyane for their alleged involvement in the state capture project.<\/p>\n PHOTO: News24 <\/strong><\/p>\n Meanwhile, less than 24 hours after the report was released for public consumption, a shooting took place at the Constitutional Court offices in Pretoria this morning.<\/p>\n According to reliable sources, a man whose identity has been withdrawn was arrested and an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the reasons why the incident happened.<\/p>\n The Ministry of Justice and Correctional Service confirmed through its spokesperson, Chrispin Phiri that the incident indeed took place, and police are handling the issue.<\/p>\n Screenshot: Twitter<\/strong><\/p>\n The incident has elicited extreme reactions from South Africans, who are growing suspicious that it seems there is a concerted effort to subvert the institutions of the state.
