In our Ghanaians society, the common method people use to lay the dead in a state is by putting them on a bed. This is the method where the corpse is dressed neat and put flat on the bed for loved ones to come and pay their last respect for before the family finally close the casket. However, some family members seem to adopt new styles of laying the dead in state. This new style is where the dead are laid in states according to their profession when alive.<\/p>\n
Watching the screenshots in this article, you can see that a woman is sitting on a kitchen stool. If you don’t look at the image well, you might think that this woman is preparing something on fire but this woman is actually dead. Reports indicate that this woman used to fry gari before her demise. In view of this, the family members decided to lay her in a state according to her job when she was alive.<\/p>\n

So you can see that the corpse was actually laid in a state having little gari on fire. They also make it look like she is preparing gari. Some Ghanaians after coming across this burst into laughter. They argued that this is actually not necessary as it is means of stressing the dead. Others also said that this is actually a waste of money because a lot of costs will go into this laying in state of the dead compared to the normal one.<\/p>\n
