Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Dumelo has said to government that Majority of Ghanaians don\u2019t want the E-levy now. <\/p>\n
John Dumelo reacting to the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh’s tweet on E-Levy said. <\/span><\/p>\n According to Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh, he said E-Levy seeks to tackle youth employment and build social and digital infrastructure. <\/span><\/p>\n Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh in continuation said the E-Levy is a proportional tax which also accounts for low income earners. <\/span><\/p>\n He added that Ghanaians should help the government in the implementation of the E-Levy which will found the very things needed. <\/span><\/p>\n Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh’s tweet reads; <\/span><\/p>\n “The e-levy seeks to provide funding to tackle youth employment and build social and digital infrastructure. It is a proportional tax which also accounts for low income earners. Let’s support government to implement this tax to fund the very things we need as a people \ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udded” <\/strong><\/p>\n However, the Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo doesn’t agree with the Member of Parliament as he adds his voice to the E-Levy conversation. <\/p>\n Mr Dumelo says majority of Ghanaians don’t want the E-Levy at this point. He advised that government should cut down expenditure, seal corruption loopholes, reduce salaries of the president, ministers and appointees.<\/p>\n He said there should be a sacrifice first then maybe Ghanaians can talk about the E-Levy. <\/p>\n Dumelo writes; <\/p>\n “Majority of Ghanaians don\u2019t want the E-levy at this point.
