Ghanaians have massively reacted to former President John Mahama’s claims that Ghana’s economy has collapsed under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Ghanaians while reacting to the claims of the former President said, he was worse while in office and so he has no moral right to be talking.<\/p>\n

The former President John Mahama was President of Ghana from 2012 to 2016. He took to his Facebook page today saying Ghana’s debt situation is the worst under Nana Addo and the economic hardships in the country are getting worse day in day out under the leadership of Nana Addo and Dr.Bawumia, therefore, Ghana’s economy has collapsed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ghanaian economy has been collapsed by President Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia. The debt crisis, for which there are very few tangible projects to show for, and worsening economic hardship of Ghanaians amply demonstrate the negative impact of a collapsed economy,\u201d John Mahama said on his official and verified Facebook page.<\/span><\/p>\n

The former President and Presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2020 general elections also said that the NDC will always stay opposed to fresh taxes imposed on the people of Ghana by the Nana Addo-led government since the government is continually increasing its expenditure. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe NDC remains opposed to the imposition of the numerous fresh taxes on Ghanaians at a time when Government is living large and unwilling or unable to trim expenditure, cut waste and check corruption,\u201d he stated. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, Ghanaians upon seeing and reading this statement from the former President had a lot to say. Most of the reactions coming in depict that John Mahama was worse than the current government and so he better keep quiet.<\/p>\n

Some of them mentioned a lot of issues that transpired under Mahama’s administration and said he managed the country more badly than Nana Addo is managing now.<\/p>\n
