When we praise people, it provides them with the kind of positive experience or ‘uplift’, that can increase their morale, and make them want to do more.

Everybody needs praise; our political leaders and Presidents needs praise and appreciation too, if we really want them to do more for us. It should not always be the case, that these leaders go through attacks and criticism.

We must must be fair and balance in our judgement…we must learn to commend our leaders (whether we belong to their party or not), if they go right; and ‘hit hard’ on them if they go astray.

As we all are aware, many people largely depend on the promises by political parties, to determine who they are voting for. The Veteran Ghanaian Politician Nana Akufo-Addo; the current president of the Republic of Ghana, made a lot of promises prior to becoming a president in 2016.

After given the nod to lead the country, President Nana Addo, who is also called ‘Nana Show Boy’ started work speedily towards fulfilling his promises.

Though his very important promises like Putting Money Into People Pocked, fighting Against family and friends government, 1 District 1 Factory (1D1F), 1 Village 1 Dam (1V1D), Making Accra the cleanest city, Stabilizing the dollar, rescuing the dying economy under the John Mahama’s administration, and so on have failed, there are also some few very important promises that has been fulfilled. One of them is developing the railway sector.

Candidate Nana Addo on his campaign days promised to revive the railway industry, and to build a first-class railway network in the country.

In a tour yesterday from Tema, through some towns in the Eastern and Volta Region reveals to me that, Nana ‘Show Boy’ is really working towards fulfilling if not all, the greater part of his 2016 promises. During the tours, I saw the Tema-Akosombo Mpakadan railway getting close to its completion.

The Tema-Akosombo Mpakadan railway project which begins from Tema in the Greater Accra region, goes through Afienya, North Tongu District in the Volta region, Lower Manya Krobo and terminates at Mpakadan, a few kilometers from Akosombo.

The project is part of the 1,000km Ghana-Burkina Faso Railway Interconnectivity Project, which is expected to link Ghana, from Tema to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.

The Tema-Akosombo Mpakadan railway project, which started in July 2017, and expected to be completed by July 2020, was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which stalled the construction works.

The development of a rail network in the country is very important. It does not only reduces the cost of transportation …both in terms of money and time, but also helps in the integration of various regions, within the country and better understanding of neighbouring countries at the international level.

As a nation, we are tired of hearing these politicians on TVs and radios, praising their government for achievements, Its even more annoying if they number their achievements and you cant see even one to confirm.

My tours yesterday really gave me a true view of what president Nana Addo and his rail ministry is doing to beautify the rail industry in Ghana, Kudos Nana Show boy…you are really working.

Please share your views in the comment box below.

Remember to follow this page for more upcoming updates.

Content created and supplied by: CornerNewsUpdate (via Opera
News )

    , . , .
