{"id":764685,"date":"2022-01-24T21:17:12","date_gmt":"2022-01-24T21:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/01\/24\/alleged-juju-ruining-black-stars\/"},"modified":"2022-01-24T21:17:12","modified_gmt":"2022-01-24T21:17:12","slug":"alleged-juju-ruining-black-stars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/01\/24\/alleged-juju-ruining-black-stars\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged &#8216;juju&#8217; ruining Black Stars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"637\" height=\"424\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Black-Stars-637x424-1.jpg\"   alt=\"Black Stars\" title=\"Black Stars\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Black Stars<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Former Asante Kotoko coach, Bashir Hayford, has called on the Ghana Football Association [GFA] to investigate the alleged claim of \u2018juju\u2019 at the camp of the Black Stars.<\/p>\n<p>Following the team\u2019s early elimination from the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] in Cameroon, reports have emerged that black magic, also known as \u2018juju\u2019, heavily dominated the discussion at the camp of the team.<\/p>\n<p>It has been reported that some players have distanced themselves and have threatened not to honour any call-up due to the alleged claims.<\/p>\n<p>But, the former Black Queens and Legon Cities boss says the country\u2019s football governing body and the government must fight the canker to ensure the team succeeds.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/D2kPwHoVAAABYxt.jpg\" alt=\"Bashir Hayford\" class=\"wp-image-1752313\"  \/><figcaption><strong>Bashir Hayford<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI am an experienced coach in this country and everybody knows my pedigree but the alleged issue of \u2018juju\u2019 at the camp of the Black Stars is worrying and must be investigated,\u201d he said on <em><strong>Asempa FM<\/strong><\/em> on the <strong><em>Ultimate Sports Show.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlayers are now threatening that they will not honour call ups again due to the \u2018juju\u2019 claims.
