Adele has been forced to delay the start of her Las Vegas residency after Covid-19 cases in her team delayed her preparations.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old singer wept as she announced on Thursday that she’s been forced to delay the start of her highly-anticipated concert series at the world-famous Caesars Palace Hotel because of Covid-19 cases in her crew.<\/p>\n

Adele admitted she was “gutted” not to be able to get on stage on Friday night and was “embarrassed” by the delay.<\/p>\n

She said in a video shared to her social media channels: “\u201cI\u2019m so sorry, but my show ain\u2019t ready.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we\u2019ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid. Half my crew and team are [ill] with Covid and still are, and it\u2019s been impossible to finish the show.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m gutted \u2014 I\u2019m sorry it\u2019s so last minute, we\u2019ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we\u2019ve run out of time. I\u2019m so upset and I\u2019m really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that traveled to get [to the show]. I\u2019m really, really sorry.”<\/p>\n

The \u201cCan I Get It\u201d singer pledged to reschedule the cancelled shows.<\/p>\n

She added: “We\u2019re going to reschedule all of the dates, we\u2019re on it right now, and I\u2019m gonna finish my show and get it to where it\u2019s supposed to be. We\u2019ve been up against so much and it just ain\u2019t ready. I\u2019m really sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cWeekends With Adele\u201d residency was announced in November.<\/p>\n

The \u201cEasy On Me\u201d hitmaker was scheduled to perform two shows at the venue every weekend until 16 April, 2022, a run of 12 weeks.<\/p>\n

It is not yet known what the new start date for the concert series will be.<\/p>\n
