Ghana for the first time in 2006 exited the tournament at the group stage. The four time holders came last in group c after taking home just a point from three games.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/07006f09ad31491494ac49571045cc4c\"\/><\/p>\n<p>They lost their opening game by 1-0 to North Africans, Morocco at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium courtesy a solitary strike by Soufiane Boufal. The second game was not better in result as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Gabon who were without top striker Pierre Aubameyang and Mario Lemina due to COVID-19 complications.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/457d1deb74eb4b35ad7cdabdf5e82a1a\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Their third game was a disaster where debutants, Comoros confirmed the Black Stars to a 3-2 defeat in Garoua.
