The 21 time champions started the season with three opening draws and have gone on to lose just ones, recorded five wins and five draws with two defeats. The have claimed 20 points in 6th position after 12 matches with a week seven outstanding clash against arch rivals, Asante Kotoko to be played in February. Awako, who joined Hearts of Oak from city rivals, Great Olympics says the league is far from over for the defending champions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/6c941d785e054487b95185c3c4d99d37\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast season is over though Hearts won every silverware, now we have to up our game if we want to win anything this season. We don\u2019t need any distraction but rather full concentration. Now it\u2019s about doing our talking on the pitch. \u201cThe first part of the season is still ongoing. There are new players and changes and we need to work extra hard to achieve the ultimate.\u201cWe are growing as a squad and a team. We will try as hard as we can to improve and we will try to do that over the next few months.\u2019We know the club demands to win in every game.\u00a0\u201cWe all want to make an impact. No one wants to miss any game and everyone wants to play their part and contribute to success.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/4ce414d1d9aa43248fb19a898e5c643c\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSunday\u2019s clash with Wonders will be a return to the Accra Sports Stadium after two weeks of being on the road. It is great playing in front of our home fans again. \u201cWinning as a team and bringing success to this club is so important and it will only help us improve because when you win together you only want more of it\u201d He concluded.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/c0cfc2d594d54c1da1d4489fb95b4db4\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Hearts of Oak have a round 32 MTN FA Cup clash against second tier side, Golden Kicks at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
