The Serbian tactician believes his side should have been awarded a penalty in the opening game against Morocco but Video Assistant Referee failed to check the incidents.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/fc79f38aa6a14fb78728420297e71c4f\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven per our judgement, we should have had a penalty in the first half when we played Morocco but VAR didn\u2019t even bother to check and there were other decisions that are questions. But now that there is VAR so the number of mistakes should be less so we hope it will be less in the next matches of the competition.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He hopes there will be steps to remedy the situation since it is becoming difficult for teams to thrive in the competition.\u00a0There must be instant reactions about the performance of match officials. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/e41ab2fe6e324bc893bdff0d0cb3813c\"\/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/7ae63716439d435597c5ad39e7bba0fb\"\/>\u201cI think this is becoming an issue and we hope that in the next days of the competition, officiating will be less controversial and fairest for everybody. It is not my style to question officiating, even after matches I don\u2019t comment on refereeing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some coaches have shared similar concerns about the performance of referees in the tournament. Some referees have awarded questionable decisions in some matches.\u00a0Those decisions have had an impact in the outcome of matches. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/9cbf5da029f94bc8821b6e54251459a6\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/13fb5f64c15b44fe88f90b6bb1eba87f\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Black Stars of Ghana lost in the opening fixture against Morocco courtesy a lone goal. Black Stars were unimpressive as they attempted to break the deadlock and snatch all points. Morocco kept their composure and maintained equilibrium to get the only goal of the game. Efforts to rescue Ghana ended in futility as Joseph Paintsil had most of the chances going wide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Skipper Dede Ayew got injured in the opening game but has been responding to treatment. Milovan Rajevac confirmed that but was did not indicate if the Al Sadd forward will start or not against Gabon tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe suffered a knock and was hurt and needed stitches and he is feeling okay now.
