Berla Mundi got on the wrong side of Kwesi Kwarteng, a spokesperson of the ruling New Patriotic Party. there has been trending news regarding a man who lost his wife because of delays by the Ghana Ambulance Service. According to reports the ambulance conveying the woman, who had gone caesarean section, from the Western Region to Korle Bu demanded for 600 cedis from the dead woman\u2019s husband to use in fueling the vehicles.<\/p>\n

By the time the ambulance finally got to Accra, the woman had passed on. On The Big Issue on TV3 today, Thursday, January 13, 2022, Berla Mundi raised issues as to why a whole ambulance service will demand money from patients before conveying them to the hospital. Berla juxtaposed that with monies spent on chartering private jets and luxury cars for MP.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In reaction, Kwesi Kwarteng noted that Berla was raising irrelevant comparisons. He explained that it was simplistic for Berla to compare monies used by the president to fly on jets across the country to monies used for the health service. He questioned Berla as to whether the president should use a ship when travelling. According to Kwesi Kwarteng, the health service has a lot of issues but this has been with every government and as such there was no need to compare these inadequacies to monies spent by the president.<\/p>\n
