A One-month police investigation have ended on a good path as four suspects; Laruea Moses, Kenneth Abugri, Nkansah Kwesi and Konadu Philip prepare to meet the Tema TDC District court on Wednesday 12 January 2022. The four suspects are alleged to have stolen a 2021 Mercedes Benz c250 on 28 November 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n

From left, Laruea Moses, Kenneth Abugri, Nkansah Kwesi and Konadu Philip were arrested simultaneously after police investigations proved their involvement in a car theft. Laruea who was driving a Toyota corolla before his arrest, was transporting the remaining three suspects on a mission when the police pounced on them on Monday 10 January 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The police of Ashiaman and Tema Community 24, had trailed the four suspects to the Dodowa road where they were about to rob another car owner. Laruea as usual, was behind the wheel of a white coloured Toyota Corolla trying to corner a Toyota highlander driver when the police crossed him and arrested him and his brothers.<\/p>\n
The four were sent to the Community 24 police station on the night of Monday 9 January and all four denied hijacking the Mercedes c250 vehicle. After several independent police interrogations, Konadu Philip broke the silence and confessed to the police the whereabouts of the car.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Konadu Philip <\/strong><\/p>\n We parked it at the Barekese Nkwanta forest reserve. At the entrance of the forest reserve, is where we parked it and covered it with bush grass, Konadu said to the police yesterday. The Tema Community 24 Police, acting with their brothers in Barekese has retrieved the stolen car after Konadu Philip had confessed in a police yesterday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n The car was intact and everything was in order, Officer Amoatwi Bismarck of Barekese Police said after retrieving the car this evening. The car has been sent to the Barekese Police station waiting to be towed to Accra on Wednesday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n The owner of the car, Marcus Anarfi, was heard jubilating after his car was found. Marcus according to his narration, was driving the car on 28 November when a Toyota corolla crossed him and snatched the car from him. They were four, with knives and weapons, Marcus said to the police on 30 November 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n The car before it was stolen<\/strong><\/p>\n The four men after hijacking Marcus car, drove the car from Accra to Barekese where they were hiding it.
