President Akufo-Addo is in the second year of his second term as president of the Republic of Ghana. Last year met the president with a number of criticisms, demonstrations and strikes. This year has not been any different with a number of unions and associations engaging on strikes to get their needs met. Despite the criticisms, President Akufo-Addo has argued that he is not to be blamed for the crises the country is going through. He has promised better years ahead.<\/p>\n

The President in the of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Akuffo Dampare were earlier in Bawku. The two joined hands to launch the Ghana Police Emergency Medical Fund. The Fund seeks to be provide a reservoir to assist personnel of the Police who through no fault of theirs get injured in the line of duty.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The fund launched by the President was started at the cost of 6.1 million cedis and is expected to used be used to support many incapacitated personnel of the service. After the ceremony, the official Facebook of President Akufo-Addo was updated with the photos and this was battered with comments from users.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Most of the comments had nothing to do with the post but rather looked at other issues affecting the country. Whereas some were of praise for the IGP, many others didn\u2019t see anything good about what the president was doing in Bawku. There were incessant calls from NABCo personnel for their salaries to be paid to them. Others also called on the president to call the Black Stars to order for their abysmal performance against Morocco.<\/p>\n
