Joshua Newton, a trained nurse at Pokukrom has been found dead after a fight with his landlord. Joshua, 30, was found dead in his room this morning when his woman, Ohenewaa Abigail went to knock on his door.<\/p>\n

The door to Joshua’s room wasn’t broken, and neither was the door unlocked, but we still suspect his death to be a foul play, residents of Standom Memorial house argued among themselves. The Pokukrom police have taken over the case as investigation areas have been commenced into the case.<\/p>\n
Case Briefings And Possible Cause Of Death <\/strong><\/p>\n Joshua according to residents of Standom Memorial house, fought with his landlord on Saturday. The new landlord of Standom Memorial House, Eric Shaba Standom, had inherited the building from his late brother in November 2021.<\/p>\n From the will of the late Michael Standom, his brother Eric Standom was to take over the family house management for the entire family. The entire family of the Aduana Pokukrom clan never supported the will of Michael Standom, since there were elder sisters around to be given the family house to manage.<\/p>\n The elder sister of the late Michael Standom, Gloria Standom, had fought the authority of the will her late brother left and fought with Eric for the building. The Aduana Family of Pokukrom had not yet decided on who should manage the Standom Memorial house, but Eric Standom acting on his late brother’s will, called the entire eighteen tenants of the Standom Memorial house for a meeting on Saturday 8 January 2022 to demand payments of their rent advance, but the deceased, Joshua Newton refused to pay his advance to the new landlord.<\/p>\n Joshua before his death<\/strong><\/p>\n Joshua argued that the elder sister (Gloria Standom) of the late Michael Standom, had already called him and demanded the rent advance. Eric disputed the argument of Joshua and that brought a series of misunderstandings between the two on Saturday.<\/p>\n Joshua threatened to beat Eric Standom after Eric slapped him on Saturday for disrespecting him. Anywhere I see you, run for your life, Joshua said to his new landlord after the man slapped him.<\/p>\n Joshua wasn’t allowed to respond to the slap when tenants in the house prevented him from fighting the landlord on Saturday and that pained Joshua. The slap he received from the landlord pained him dearly and made him threaten to beat the landlord should he see him anywhere.<\/p>\n We knew he could beat him so we prevented him from getting closer to the landlord, and that pained him. The landlord never responded to the threats and kept laughing. He may have a hand in this, Godwin Agyemang, a resident of the house said.<\/p>\n It is with this, the residents believe, may have caused Joshua’s death and the landlord Eric may have ordered Joshua’s death.
