Asante Kotoko will look to keep the top spot on the league log when they face AshantiGold in a regional derby at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Porcupine Warriors have not done badly this season in their quest to win the premier league for the first time in eight years. The Porcupine Warriors lost the league last season to arch rivals, Hearts of Oak. Kotoko earned 57 points as against Hearts of Oak\u2019s 61 at the end of last season. Kotoko have however started well this season – recording seven wins , playing two draws and a defeat. Their only defeat came against regional neighbors, King Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium.<\/p>\n

They record Ghana Premier League holders have now collected 23 points from 10 games with an outstanding against arch rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak. They are on same points as Ming Faisal but have better goal difference. AshantiGold on the other hand have not made a start to the season. <\/p>\n

The have won three games, drawn three and lost five in the process. They have 12 points seated 14th on the league table after 11 matches into the season. The derby will be a cracker as both sides need a win at all costs.<\/p>\n
