David Renner<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2018THE Road to\u00a0Damang 2022\u2019 for Ghana PGA will begin with the first ever Samsung PGA Captain\u2019s prize golf tournament which will tee off from January 12 to 15 at the Celebrity Golf Course in Sakumono, Accra.<\/p>\n Captain of Celebrity Golf Club, David Renner said the four-day professional golf competition is\u00a0 going to be a very unique and interesting tournament because it is the first of its kind been introduced by Captain of Ghana PGA,\u00a0 John Mawuli Nyarko (John Wonders).<\/p>\n He added that although it\u00a0is a pro event, they are also expecting about a hundred and forty amateur golfers across the country to take part in the maiden innovative event.<\/p>\n The amateur golfers will be coming from clubs such as Celebrity \u2013 the host Club, Achimota, Center of the World, Royal Golf Club in Kumasi, Tafo, Tarkwa, Benso, Bogoso and Damang Golf Club.<\/p>\n Reacting to question regarding the readiness of the course for the tournament,\u00a0Renner said that Celebrity Golf course is mostly weather dependant for the fair ways and luckily enough \u201cwe have had some quite good rains and the greens are being shape in a very immaculate condition for golfers to enjoy though the fair ways are a bit dry.\u00a0 Celebrity greens are the best you can find in the country and we always keep it in good shape because that\u2019s our pride.\u201d<\/p>\n The enthusiastic and hurry to hit the ground running new president for PGA of Ghana, Mark Coffie, revealed the tournament is one of the many tours Ghana PGA members will play this year and would also be a ranked tournament for points accumulation \u201cas we tilts towards Damang 2022 so pros should put on their performance character to begin the year on a good note.\u201d<\/p>\n Lim Jung Taek, the Korea Ambassador to Ghana and Tang Hong, President of Celebrity Golf Club, who doubled as President of Ghana Chinese Society, are going to be the special guests of honour for the much talked about and innovative Samsung PGA Captain\u2019s prize golf competition to begin the year with for Ghana pros.<\/p>\n Renner pledged Celebrity\u2019s Golf Club\u2019s continued\u00a0support for the Ghana PGA.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" David Renner \u2018THE Road to\u00a0Damang 2022\u2019 for Ghana PGA will begin with the first ever Samsung PGA Captain\u2019s prize golf tournament which will tee off from January 12 to 15 at the Celebrity Golf Course in Sakumono, Accra.
