The Black Stars have players who ply their trade in England, a country whose clubs were involved in delay in releasing African stars for the 2021 AFCON tournament to start in Cameroon on Sunday, December 9. The Serbian trainer after the game expressed his disappointment over the delay in player release.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/5b1228c46a834e8988f94969365fb1a2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately this decision from FIFA to allow players to stay in their clubs in this period affected our plans for the preparation since most of the time we didn\u2019t have many players to work with.\u00a0\u201cMany training sessions we had 7 or 8 players and 3 goalkeepers so it\u2019s very difficult to do some tactical work to prepare the team the way we planned in the beginning.\u201d Milovan Rajevac said.The Black Stars of Ghana were given a reality check in their pre-AFCON friendly on Wednesday. They suffered a 3-0 loss against defending African champions, Algeria at the Education City in Doha, Qatar.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/9f7cd61ca02744b896491c83c8ed2d6d\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Adam Ounas, Jonathan Mensah\u2019s own goal and Islam Slimani\u2019s easy tap in, were enough to give the Desert Foxes an edge over Milovan Rajevac\u2019s side on Wednesday. The Black Stars take on Morocco in their 2021 AFCON opener on Monday, January 10 at 4:00pm Ghana time.
