{"id":736961,"date":"2022-01-06T02:37:37","date_gmt":"2022-01-06T02:37:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/01\/06\/police-in-spain-arrest-37-people-for-sexual-exploitation-of-minors\/"},"modified":"2022-01-06T02:37:37","modified_gmt":"2022-01-06T02:37:37","slug":"police-in-spain-arrest-37-people-for-sexual-exploitation-of-minors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/01\/06\/police-in-spain-arrest-37-people-for-sexual-exploitation-of-minors\/","title":{"rendered":"Police in Spain arrest 37 people for sexual exploitation of minors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Police-in-Spain-arrest-37-people-for-sexual-exploitation-of-minors.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<p><span class=\"story_dl\">Jan. 5 (UPI) &#8212;<\/span> Thirty-seven people have been arrested in Spain for sexually exploiting minors and drug trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Ten victims &#8212; all minors aged between ages 14 and 16 years old &#8212; were released from a criminal network of prostitution-related activities and drug trafficking.\n<\/p>\n<p>The National Police confirmed the arrests Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/policia\/status\/1477925267519721472\">on Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The list of suspects includes people from Dominica, Nigeria, Romania, Cuba, Spain and Morocco.<\/p>\n<p>A police investigation revealed that one victim was imprisoned for three days in a room where a female suspect managed a drug store.<\/p>\n<p>They found that the suspect asked clients if they wanted to have sex with the minor locked in the room.<\/p>\n<p>The victim managed to escape and ask for help. Other victims were sexually abused and raped.<\/p>\n<p>They said they were contacted through social media and promised money in exchange for selling drugs.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects were found to have provided drugs to the girls, causing them to become addicts and reliant on the traffickers.<\/p>\n<p>Eight of the suspects are currently in prison.
