{"id":735878,"date":"2022-01-05T10:25:53","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T10:25:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/01\/05\/ambassador-boateng-leads-donation-to-disabled-community\/"},"modified":"2022-01-05T10:25:53","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T10:25:53","slug":"ambassador-boateng-leads-donation-to-disabled-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/01\/05\/ambassador-boateng-leads-donation-to-disabled-community\/","title":{"rendered":"Ambassador Boateng leads donation to disabled community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Ambassador Edward Boateng, former Ghanaian Ambassador to China, in partnership with the Ghana Association of Chinese Societies and Ghana Chinese Chamber of Commerce have donated 30-wheel chairs, 30 armpit clutches, 30 elbow crutches and 20 walking sticks to the Disabled Association of Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n<p>The donation aims at celebrating New Year \u200bwith the less privileged while indulging all Ghanaians to look beyond their immediate environment, families and comfort zones.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-817249\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-01-05-at-7.34.10-AM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"810\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Presenting the items to the association, Ambassador Boateng said: \u201cFor the second year running, I have chosen to celebrate the New Year with the Physically Challenged Association of Ashanti Region. As part of this year\u2019s celebration, I have partnered with the Ghana Association of Chinese Societies and the Ghana Chinese Chamber of Commerce to put smiles on the faces of the members of this community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Boateng said as the 2022 journey starts, members of the association should continue to hold steadfast to the Ghanaian society\u2019s ideals of love, respect, honour and trust. \u201cThese are the ideas with which we can attain the development we all yearn for. It is never too late to aim for such and I admonish each and every one of us, to open themselves up to these ideals and together, build a Ghana Beyond Aid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-817248\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-01-05-at-7.34.09-AM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"1080\"  \/><br \/>The President of the Ghana Association of Chinese Societies &amp; Ghana Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Tang Hong said, \u201cThe physically challenged in society should not only be the charge of Government but also that of all well-meaning members of society. After all, anyone of us could find ourselves in this state one day. I am therefore riding on these words to charge and challenge other individuals, organizations and associations to join us in this noble task of celebrating the new year with the physically challenged and less privileged in our society\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-817251\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-01-05-at-7.34.13-AM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"810\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Receiving the items, the President of the Disabled Association of the Ashanti Region expressed his gratitude, saying, \u201cWe thank you for coming aboard this noble charge.
