The regular academic calendar will resume when schools reopen for the new school year in January. COVID- For three years, the influenza pandemic disrupted the calendar, causing terms to be shortened. All schools will reopen on January 23rd, 2023, for the first term of the new academic year, which is expected to last approximately twelve weeks.<\/p>\n

With the start of the new school year comes good news for primary school teachers: the government intends to promote them. When the schools reopen, primary teachers who will be assigned to teach in junior secondary schools will be promoted to the new level. TSC has announced that they are currently mapping out the names of teachers who will be promoted.<\/p>\n
