May Yul Edochie, the first wife of actor has replied the apology note her husband Yul Edochie wrote to her on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Yul had tendered a public apology to his first wife, May, over his decision to marry another wife and fellow actress, Judy Austin.<\/p>\n
The actor unveiled Judy as his second wife in April 2022, when he revealed that they both had a son together.<\/p>\n
Eight months later, Yul decided to publicly apologise to his wife for his actions, as he stated that he meant no disrespect to her.<\/p>\n
He said he had apologised to his first wife, with whom he has four children, countless times before now.<\/p>\n
In his apology post, Edochie said, \u201cTo my dear wife, Queen May Yul-Edochie. I acknowledge that I hurt you deeply and I\u2019ve apologised to you countless times.<\/p>\n
\u201cI take the blame for my actions. I agree with you that polygamy shouldn\u2019t be forced on anyone. You never bargained for it from the beginning neither did I. But I guess life happens. You already know the whole story.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t do it to disrespect you. I didn\u2019t do it to replace you, nor because I do not love you anymore, no. I have always loved you and always will.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been a good husband and a wonderful father. I\u2019ve supported all your hustle from day one. I have been an exceptional father to our children to date, making sure they lack nothing and always there for everyone.<\/p>\n
\u201cOut of 100, I have done 99 things right. Hating me because of one thing isn\u2019t the best. Nobody is perfect. I\u2019m not. You\u2019re not. Nobody is, except God.<\/p>\n
\u201cI assure you that nobody is trying to take your place. I have apologised to you countless times sincerely from my heart.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sorry. I\u2019ve always loved you and always will. Butuo nwanyi oma. We can live peacefully and happily.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shortly after he announced his second marriage, May openly stated that her belief and faith did not permit polygamy.<\/p>\n
Prior to his public apology, Yul had at several times boasted about his polygamous marriage, adding that the decision had brought him blessings.<\/p>\n
Taking to her Instagram page on Friday, December 23, May replied her estranged wrote: \u201cI strongly believe that mistakes are a major part of human existence. It is our response to these errors that count. In other words, forgiveness is one thing, and righting a wrong is another.<\/p>\n
FORGIVENESS is the highest | most beautiful form of love for me. There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love. Hence, my ability to forgive the mistakes of the past, present, and future with respect to the issue on ground is in the interest of my mental health and inner peace.<\/p>\n
I decided to stick to love\u2026Hate is too great a burden to bear. I am still very much incapable of HATING anyone, let alone the father of my children. The fact remains that anyone can choose to practice POLYGAMY, but can\u2019t be impelled to accept what was never bargained for.<\/p>\n
To reaffirm my stands, I will not be CAJOLED into accepting polygamy, which goes against my beliefs, faith, and values.
I will not be NUMBERED in a home that we started building with love, faith, tears, hopes, and prayers in a CATHOLIC marriage of 18 years following a long term premarital relationship.<\/p>\n
This is also a passionate appeal to put an END to the constant \u201cshow\u201d on the social media space where our kids are growing into unless it is absolutely necessary. Let\u2019s prevent our lovely children from all the incessant drama series that might take a toll on them directly or indirectly amongst their peers.<\/p>\n
