It is 11 kilometers long and approved in Mr. Acute Options Limited\u2019s favor. The agreed-upon amount is N2,104,483,730.<\/p>\n<p>The third approval concerned an existing contract, whose prices had to be increased due to increases in material costs, inflation, and price variations, as well as to account for changes in fiscal policy since the project was initially awarded in 2014, prior to this administration, when the fiscal policy with regard to VAT was 5%. The current fiscal policy is 7.5%.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed Abdullahi, the environment minister, also spoke during the briefing. He claimed that the council had approved the two memoranda he had presented, whose cost implications totaled N123,493,723,862.<\/p>\n<p>The first memo is on remediation of simple hydrocarbon impacted sites in Ogoniland, in favor of about 35 contractors, in other words, there are about 35 lots for a completion time of 24 months, claims Abdullahi. The contract\u2019s total value is N95,908,284,452.91.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of 132 KV transmission lines (62 kilometers) and 260 MVA power substations for the Phase 1 of the Ogoni power project in Winyakara and Bodo in Ogoniland, in favor of Messrs. Enagovot Engineering Limited, is the subject of the second memo that deals with the Ogoni people\u2019s program for sustaining their way of life. Additionally, it has a 12-month completion deadline. N27,585,439,410.13 has been approved for the Ogoni Power Project Phase 1 budget, he stated.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to presenting four memoranda, the Minister of Transportation, Mu\u2019azu Sambo, noted that while three of the presentations took the form of PPP agreements, the fourth was intended to improve the Nigeria Ports Authority\u2019s operations (NPA).<\/p>\n<p>The first to be approved is in relation to the award of contract to Messrs Tenece Professional Services Limited for the upgrade of the Nigerian Ports Authority data center, its servers, storage, and business continuity, for a total of N1,787,203,792.65, inclusive of 7.5% VAT, with a completion period of six months, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Sources.
