Ghana\u2019s former Ambassador to the United State, Daniel Ohene Agyekum has taken a swipe at Gabby Asare Octhere-Darko for referring to the newly elected national executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as \u201cPropagandist.<\/strong><\/p>\n Gabby, a cousin of the President Akufo-Addo, in a tweet to congratulate the opposition NDC for holding a successful congress, added that delegates for the party rather settled for accomplished propagandists to lead their party into the forthcoming general elections in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cCongratulations to the NDC and their new national officers! Asiedu Nketia is now the Chairman-General (apologies to Kwami!) What is clear is that Ghana\u2019s opposition party has settled on a solid team of accomplished propagandists in all departments. The strategy for 2024 is set\u201d, Gabby tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n However, responding to this tweet, Ambassador Agyekum questioned the basis of Gabby\u2019s assertions.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhat standpoint is Gabby speaking from?\u00a0 On which moral authority has he to question the NDC delegates\u2019 choice?<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIf Gabby is referring to the NDC as propagandists then what are they? What idea is he trying to sell to the Ghanaian public, that we are propagandists and can rule this country, I don\u2019t understand the NPP\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe NPP is showing signs of fear, our new leaders are tried and tested and at all cost will bring us victory come 2024. Who is Gabby Otchere-Darko to even question the NDC?\u00a0 Tell me who he is?\u201d He wondered.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMy point is, he has no moral authority to tell the NDC what is right or wrong for us. Their government is the worst in history; we are living in a tyrannical system with economic crises\u201d, he said.<\/span><\/p>\n He used the opportunity to appeal to well-meaning Ghanaians not to heed to the ill-informed noise about the NDC newly elected leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI am advising the youth of this county not to listen to the likes of Gabby and co and fight for their rights.
