The National Identification Authority (NIA) has begun premium services for the registration of Ghana card at three regional offices across the country.<\/p>\n
These include the regional offices in the Ashanti, Eastern and Western regions beginning today, Monday, December 19, 2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe National Identification Authority (NIA) announces for the information of the general public that effective Monday, 19th December 2022, it will offer premium registration services at its Ashanti, Eastern, and Western Regional offices\u201d, the Authority said in a statement.<\/p>\n
These centres will operate in addition to the premium centres at the NIA Head Office and Calbank Head Office in Accra according to the Authority.<\/p>\n
The following services will attract specific fees;<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. First-time registration and issuance of a Ghana Card-GH\u00a2280;<\/p>\n 2. Replacement of lost, missing, or damaged cards-GH\u00a2110;<\/p>\n 3. Update of a personal record that requires the printing of a new card- GH\u00a2110.<\/p>\n The following list of updated services will also attract a fee<\/strong>;<\/p>\n a. Change or correction of applicant\u2019s name;<\/p>\n b. Change or correction of the order of applicant\u2019s name;<\/p>\n c. Correction or addition of applicant\u2019s previous name or maiden name;<\/p>\n d. Correction of applicant\u2019s date of birth;<\/p>\n e. Change or correction of applicant\u2019s nationality;<\/p>\n f. Correction of applicant\u2019s gender;<\/p>\n g. Change or correction of applicant\u2019s height.<\/p>\n Applicants requesting premium services should also note the following<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 1. Requests that have already been approved, and for which payments have been made will not attract any additional fee;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 2. Requests not yet approved, or approved but not yet paid for, will be treated as fresh applications. Such requests will attract a fee of GH\u00a2110;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 3. The premium services will be based on an online booking system and walk-in system up to 3rd January 2023. Beginning\u00a0<\/span>4th January 2023, NIA premium centres will operate only an online booking system;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 4. Payment of fees for all premium services must be made with either of the following:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n a. CalBank Mobile Banking Platform with short code *771#; or\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n b. CalBank Online Mobile App Alternatively, payment for the above services may be made at a CalBank Branch Office.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 5. NIA cannot accept cash payments for any of its update or card replacement services at any of its Regional Offices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cApplicants must note that not every request for an update of personal record or card replacement can be handled on the same day.
