Ohuegbe mentioned this on AIT News while addressing the concerns of some Nigerians regarding the party\u2019s flagbearer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(37, 37, 37);\">Addressing the topic, Ohuegbe said, \u201cAhead of the APC presidential primary, the now-candidate insisted that it was his turn.\u201d The president has since taken a backseat, and Tinubu is now the leader of the party. The party chieftains may not have the courage to confront him and ask if he can step down for a review. This is where they have found themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(37, 37, 37);\">He continued, \u201cIt is left for the party\u2019s leadership to summon the courage to review alternatives.\u201d They still have the opportunity to make changes, as the electoral act says that if a candidate steps down within a specific period, the party can look inward to pick another candidate.
