The year 2022 has indeed been challenging for the Ghanaian, economically.<\/p>\n

Traders in the central business district of Kumasi have not been enthused at the rate of patronage of goods, though some anticipate improved sales volumes in the few days to Christmas.<\/p>\n

But following the sharp appreciation of the cedi against major international currencies and the drop in prices of petroleum products, there is renewed enthusiasm for the season.<\/p>\n

Residents in Kumasi are hoping for a reduction in prices of goods on the market to offer some respite in joining the fun of the Christmas and New Year festivities.<\/p>\n

In giving reason to enjoy the season,\u00a0Luv 99.5 FM\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Nhyira 104.5 FM<\/strong>, two leading radio stations in the stables of the Multimedia Group, have planned a number of programmes to add value to lives and excite listeners.<\/p>\n

Protecting and saving lives<\/strong>
The stations started the yuletide with the regular\u00a0Road Safety\u00a0Campaign<\/strong>\u00a0to create awareness to reduce accidents this festive season.<\/p>\n

The public service campaign forms part of the stations\u2019 Corporate Social Responsibility to educate motorists, pedestrians and the general public on the effects of road accidents as people travel to celebrate with friends and family.<\/p>\n

The stations are also collaborating with the Komfo Anokye Blood Bank in a\u00a0Blood Donation\u00a0Drive<\/strong>\u00a0on Saturday, December 17 to save lives and to ensure enough stock at the blood bank for people who will be in need of blood transfusion during the period and beyond.<\/p>\n

Something good for children and adults<\/strong>
There is more. Holidaymakers in Kumasi would be in for a great time if they choose to be in Ghana\u2019s second largest city.<\/p>\n

The little boys and girls will have reason to celebrate the season with two days of excitement and fun-filled activities at the\u00a0Kids Party in the Park<\/strong>\u00a0at the Rattray Park on December 24 and 25.<\/p>\n

They will play and learn with Mickey Mouse, bouncy castle, trampoline, fun-train as they enjoy their ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn and more.<\/p>\n

The biggest jamz for the season in Oseikrom is the \u201cNite with the Stars<\/strong>\u201d on December 26 at Rattray Park.<\/p>\n

Residents and holidaymakers will have a date with some of the finest entertainers in the country billed to thrill patrons at the concert.<\/p>\n

The \u2018serious\u2019 highlife great, Abrantie Amakye Dede; scintillating Gyakie; contemporary highlife giant, Kwabena Kwabena; evergreen Samini; the prolific Kofi Kinaata; and silky-voice Akwaboah are getting their acts up in readiness for what is anticipated to be one of the most exciting musical shows this Christmas.<\/p>\n

Patrons are promised good packages for spending the night with the stars.<\/p>\n

Caring for the underprivileged<\/strong>
On December 30, Nhyira FM will host\u00a0private and public orphanages in the Ashanti Region\u00a0to a party as they\u00a0will receive support from\u00a0Nhyira Abodoo<\/strong>, an annual charity event.<\/p>\n

The event seeks to make Christmas meaningful for the less privileged, and is part of the company\u2019s Corporate Social Responsibility.<\/p>\n

Cash donations, clothes and food items received from the public to the needy have saved many foster homes from starving.<\/p>\n

Ushering families into the New Year<\/strong>
The yuletide will climax with the\u00a0Party in the Park<\/strong>\u00a0on January 2, 2022 at the Rattray Park.<\/p>\n

The party is the biggest moment for families to have a good day out as mommies, daddies and the children dance to live band music, eat, play and share in the joy of the season.<\/p>\n

In addition to the outdoor events, your \u2018Official Christmas Station\u2019, Luv FM and Ashanti\u2019s Number 1, Nhyira FM, have lined up good entertaining radio shows to celebrate the season.<\/p>\n

There surely will be no boring moments this yuletide in the Garden City with Luv FM and Nhyira FM.<\/p>\n
