Cristiano Ronaldo has been using Real Madrid\u2019s training base to keep fit after Portugal\u2019s World Cup exit.<\/p>\n

After his contract at Manchester United was\u00a0cancelled last month,\u00a0Ronaldo is free to join another club on 1 January.<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabian club\u00a0Al-Nassr has made a big-money offer\u00a0for the 37-year-old forward, although it is understood he has other options.<\/p>\n

Ronaldo trained alone at Real\u2019s Valdebebas base and there is no option of a return to the Spanish club.<\/p>\n

Ronaldo\u2019s second spell at Manchester United was brought to a premature end after a\u00a0controversial interview\u00a0in which the five-time Ballon d\u2019Or winner criticised the club and said he had \u201cno respect\u201d for manager Erik ten Hag.<\/p>\n

That came two days before Portugal began their World Cup campaign and Ronaldo started their first three games, reacting angrily when he was substituted in the final group game against South Korea.<\/p>\n

The Portuguese Football Federation\u00a0denied that Ronaldo threatened to leave\u00a0the squad after being told he would not start the last-16 game against Switzerland, and his replacement Goncalo Ramos went on to score a hat-trick in a\u00a06-1 win.<\/p>\n

The tournament in Qatar was expected to be Ronaldo\u2019s last chance to win a World Cup, and he came off the bench against Switzerland and Morocco but could not prevent the African side from knocking out Portugal.<\/p>\n

That 1-0 upset\u00a0in the quarter-finals could be Ronaldo\u2019s last World Cup game and he\u00a0said on social media:\u00a0\u201cThe dream was nice while it lasted\u201d.<\/p>\n

In asking Real to use their training facility rather than take a break following Portugal\u2019s early exit, Ronaldo has given a clear indication he is ready to join a new club at the earliest opportunity.<\/p>\n

However, that will not be Real, whose all-time leading scorer is Ronaldo with 450 goals in 438 games, during the time which he won the Champions League four times and La Liga twice.<\/p>\n

Ronaldo made a\u00a0then-world-record move\u00a0to Real from Manchester United in 2009 and left for Juventus in 2018.<\/p>\n
