Actress Yvonne Jegede has called out her ex-husband, Kunle Fawole popularly known as Abounce, for neglecting their four-year-old son, Xavier, since he was born four years ago.<\/p>\n

Recall that Yvonne and singer, Abounce\u00a0got married in February 2017 and welcomed Xavier in November of the same year. They however went their separate ways two years after their union.<\/p>\n

In a recent\u00a0interview with actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Yvonne spoke about\u00a0the crash of their marriage. She said what led to the break up of their marriage wasn’t really worth it. She said they were best friends before they eventually tied the knot but that they were not\u00a0just on the same page.\u00a0She said if she had stayed back in the marriage just because of what people would say, she would have been unhappy. She added\u00a0that right now, they are not on talking terms.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With regard to their son, Xavier, Yvonne\u00a0revealed that while she was pregnant, Kunle never bothered to be part of her pregnancy journey.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She stated that Kunle only came around to acknowledge their son when she threatened that she would remove his surname from Xavier’s name if he\u00a0doesn’t show up before their son\u00a0turns five. She said she had to insist that their son bears hers and his father’s\u00a0surname, Jegede-Fawole, because she was the one who\u00a0suffered so much, cleared her account to go to America to birth Xavier.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yvonne said after Kunle’s\u00a0public acknowledgment in April 2019 (Read\u00a0here), he\u00a0has not bothered about their son.<\/p>\n

”Since that they, he has never come to the house, he has\u00a0never called. His son turned one, no call, no text message to say Happy birthday.” Yvonne said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She further stated\u00a0that\u00a0the day she dreaded the most came, which was Xavier asking about\u00a0his father. She said she sent a message\u00a0to Kunle’s older brother to inform him\u00a0that Xavier\u00a0was asking for\u00a0his father and that he\u00a0should help get\u00a0Kunle to please come around to see his son.<\/p>\n

”The response\u00a0I got after two days was not encouraging.”she said.<\/p>\n

Yvonne added\u00a0that Kunle doesn’t want to come around. She said she tells\u00a0anyone who cares to listen that he will\u00a0have access to his son whenever he wants to, but he has since kept his distance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

”My father went for Father’s day to represent my son’s father. It was quite painful. He doesn’t want to be involved. I will raise my son by myself.” she said
\u00a0<\/p>\n

She also addressed the saying\u00a0that Xavier will go looking for his dad when he turns 18 after many years of neglect.<\/p>\n

“My pikin nor be foolish pikin.” she said
