{"id":1261407,"date":"2022-12-04T11:07:43","date_gmt":"2022-12-04T11:07:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/12\/04\/mahama-reacts-to-photos-of-suarez-in-tears\/"},"modified":"2022-12-04T11:07:43","modified_gmt":"2022-12-04T11:07:43","slug":"mahama-reacts-to-photos-of-suarez-in-tears","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/12\/04\/mahama-reacts-to-photos-of-suarez-in-tears\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahama reacts to photos of Suarez in tears"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image_2022-12-02_182359379-696x464.png\"   alt=\"\" title=\"Suarez\"\/><\/div>\n<p>Former President John Mahama is not excited about the Black Stars\u2019 exit from the World Cup but seems happy about a photo of Luiz Suarez shedding tears.<\/p>\n<p>In the final Group H game on Friday, the Black Stars needed at least a draw to go through but suffered a heartbreak against Uruguay.<\/p>\n<p>The South Americans beat Ghana 2-0, but it wasn\u2019t enough to send them to the last 16.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the game, Suarez, who had been substituted earlier, was spotted on the bench, unable to control his tears as his country exited the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the tournament, Mr Mahama said it will be sweet revenge if Ghana records a win against the South American side after they eliminated the Ghana national team in the quarterfinals during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>But though his expectation just like that of many Ghanaians were not met, he celebrated the players. <\/p>\n<p><strong>ALSO READ:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2022 WC: It will be a sweet revenge if Black Stars beat Uruguay \u2013 Ex-President Mahama<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Photos: Suarez in tears<\/h3>\n<p>Taking to his Facebook page after Ghana\u2019s defeat and Uruguay\u2019s exit, Mr Mahama shared a viral photo of Suarez weeping after the game.<\/p>\n<p>Sarcastically, he said it was priceless for someone to shed tears after a victory.<\/p>\n<p>He further in his post welcomed the Black Stars home.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote: <em>Tears after victory, this is priceless.
