{"id":1260620,"date":"2022-12-01T18:15:15","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T18:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/12\/01\/adb-fetes-38th-national-farmers-day-nominees\/"},"modified":"2022-12-01T18:15:15","modified_gmt":"2022-12-01T18:15:15","slug":"adb-fetes-38th-national-farmers-day-nominees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/12\/01\/adb-fetes-38th-national-farmers-day-nominees\/","title":{"rendered":"ADB fetes 38th National Farmers Day nominees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has organised a cocktail party at Koforidua in the Eastern Region to honour winners of the 38th National Best Farmers Awards.<\/h2>\n<p>It is the eleventh time that the bank has organised such a reception for the award-winning farmers.<\/p>\n<p>The reception precedes the award winning ceremony which has also been slated for tomorrow, Friday (December 2, 2022).<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Welcome Cocktail\u2019 is held to welcome the National Best Farmers, and at the same time appreciate the hard work of the farmers.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the award winners on behalf of the bank&#8217;s Managing Director, the General Manager in charge of Agribusiness of the ADB, Kwame Asiedu Attrams, congratulated the nominees for excelling in their respective regions to be recognised at the national level.<\/p>\n<p>He said the cocktail party was to afford the winners the opportunity to interact with each other, government officials and also ADB management to further deepen their strong working relations.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Attrams reiterated the bank\u2019s commitment to support farmers and fishers with tailor-made products and services which would make banking easier and better for them.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, the Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, welcomed the award winners to the region and congratulated them for their hard work and dedication to farming.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commendation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He also commended ADB for its support towards the day\u2019s celebration over the years as a way of giving relevance to the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, Yaw Frimpong Addo, also commended the farmers and fishers for their continuous commitment and support in feeding the people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough sound government policies and your dedication to the agricultural sector even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is still food sufficiency and so you deserve to be celebrated\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script type=\"c79cc57ea9c00cada1ac6a4f-text\/javascript\">\n!function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s){if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod?\nn.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments)};if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n;\nn.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version='2.0';n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0;\nt.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)}(window,\ndocument,'script','https:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/fbevents.js');\nfbq('init', '771749920311523', {}, {agent: 'pljoomla'});\nfbq('track', 'PageView');\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has organised a cocktail party at Koforidua in the Eastern Region to honour winners of the 38th National Best Farmers Awards.
