{"id":1258799,"date":"2022-11-26T21:47:39","date_gmt":"2022-11-26T21:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/26\/mtn-ghana-honours-10-covid-19-heroes-of-change\/"},"modified":"2022-11-26T21:47:39","modified_gmt":"2022-11-26T21:47:39","slug":"mtn-ghana-honours-10-covid-19-heroes-of-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/26\/mtn-ghana-honours-10-covid-19-heroes-of-change\/","title":{"rendered":"MTN Ghana honours 10 COVID-19 Heroes of Change"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"398\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/MTN-Heroes-1-696x398.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"MTN Heroes of Change\"\/><\/div>\n<p>Ten individuals who made significant impact in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the country have been honoured at the 6<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the MTN Heroes of Change.<\/p>\n<p>The awardees who undertook projects three focus areas of the MTN Ghana Foundation which are Health, Education and Economic Empowerment took home certificates, citations and GH\u00a220,000 each for sacrificing their time and resources to protect lives.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-420.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-420-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2188748\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p>In the health category, Professor Kofi Bobi Barimah, Madam Gloria Sarkodie Addo, Professor William Kwabena Ampofo and David Hagan were awarded for their selfless dedication to save lives.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-421.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-421-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2188749\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p>Four heroes Madam Cecilia Gifty Fiako, Henry Assumeng Ankrah, Madam Patience Munayatu Agana, and Madama Rhoda Kadoa Wedam were awarded for work done in the Economic Empowerment category.<\/p>\n<p>Whiles Ghana Journalists Association\u2019s (GJA\u2019s) Journalist of the Year, Portia Gabor and Isaac Ofori received prizes in the Education category.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-422.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-422-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2188750\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p>Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh expressed profound gratitude to the winners for their contribution to humanity during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Covid Heroes exemplify selflessness and patriotism, supporting their local communities in Ghana\u2019s fight against the pandemic.
