{"id":1254719,"date":"2022-11-21T07:34:15","date_gmt":"2022-11-21T07:34:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/21\/gambo-gives-opportunities-to-young-music-talents-in-ashongman\/"},"modified":"2022-11-21T07:34:15","modified_gmt":"2022-11-21T07:34:15","slug":"gambo-gives-opportunities-to-young-music-talents-in-ashongman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/21\/gambo-gives-opportunities-to-young-music-talents-in-ashongman\/","title":{"rendered":"Gambo gives opportunities to young music talents in Ashongman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-11-19-at-19.08.07.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"article-text\">\n<p>A door of opportunities has been opened for the youth of Ashongman, through rapper, Gambo who seeks to give back to society and contribute his quota to the development of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past four years, Gambo, the \u2018Girls Girls\u2019 crooner, has been actively contributing to the development of Ashongman, a suburb of Accra.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-feature-fm wp-block-embed-feature-fm\">\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" title=\"GAMBO - GIRLS GIRLS\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"640px\" height=\"1005px\" frameborder=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/gambomusic.ffm.to\/gambo-girls-girls?layout=oembed#?secret=isVqBLMIqY\" data-secret=\"isVqBLMIqY\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>But the \u2018Drip\u2019 hitmaker and reigning Vodafone Ghana Unsung Artist of the Year, Gambo, has decided to take things a notch higher as far as supporting human resource development in Ashongman is concerned, and he has officially launched his upcoming concerts that will give young people in Ashongman the platform to showcase their talents.<\/p>\n<p>Gambo is hosting two big concerts in December this year. The first concert dubbed: \u2018Ashongman to the world\u2019 is taking place on December 2, 2022, with the second concert scheduled to take place at Old Tafo in Kumasi on December 16.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Among the artists billed to perform are: veteran musician Ayigbe Edem, Mr. Drew, Keche, Kofi Jamar, Strongman and Tulenkay. Several surprise artists are billed to also perform.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Gambo &#038; Friends\u2019 Concert\u2019 is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm on December 2 at the Old Ashongman School Park. Gambo will then headline another concert at Old Tafo, Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region on December 16, 2022, beginning 7 pm as well.<\/p>\n<p>The concerts, aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship and talent development for a better life, are being organised by Gambo\u2019s record label, BlackMob. Gambo, the reigning Vodafone Ghana Unsung Artist of the Year will be performing several of his hit songs including \u2018Boys Aye Wild\u2019, \u2018Drip\u2019, \u2018Settle\u2019 and his recently released track \u2018We Outside\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing several journalists at the City Eye Restaurant in Ashongman on Saturday, November 19, 2022, about the upcoming concerts and what they will mean for the unearthing of young talents in Ashongman,\u00a0 Gambo expressed his profound love for the street and his desire to be a blessing to his generation, especially the youth of Ashongman.<\/p>\n<p>He recounted his several supports to the youth in the area over the years, including promoting soccer development in Ashongman\u00a0 expressing his commitment to continually supporting the people of Ashongman who are so dear to him.<\/p>\n<p>He observed the need to support the development of young talents, saying \u201cwhen you spread love, you get blessings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He says a lot of upcoming artists will perform at the \u2018Ashongman To The World\u2019 Concert, saying giving young artists the platform to showcase their talents is the main goal of the whole concert.<\/p>\n<p>Gambo, the \u2018Settle\u2019 hitmaker said some of the youth of Ashongman are good rappers, dancers and comedians \u201cbut they don\u2019t have a stage\u201d to showcase their talents, saying \u201cI am glad that I am able to provide the stage for the cause.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p><div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"mHehA_aL2xk\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gambo ft Keche - Settle (Official Music Video)\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mHehA_aL2xk?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Several youth of Ashongman, some of them young artists managers, turned filled the City Eye Restaurant to express their love for Gambo and to urge him to continue being a blessing to them.
