{"id":1254328,"date":"2022-11-19T23:46:02","date_gmt":"2022-11-19T23:46:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/19\/people-say-bawumia-is-stingy-sulemana-braimah-video\/"},"modified":"2022-11-19T23:46:02","modified_gmt":"2022-11-19T23:46:02","slug":"people-say-bawumia-is-stingy-sulemana-braimah-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/19\/people-say-bawumia-is-stingy-sulemana-braimah-video\/","title":{"rendered":"People say Bawumia is stingy \u2013 Sulemana Braimah [Video]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/image-197-1024x789.png\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa, Sulemana Braimah, has said that some people within the close circles of the Vice President, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, consider him a miser.<\/p>\n<p>This according to reports, has earned him the nickname \u201cgood to see you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Mr Braimah said he trusts the Vice President when it comes to integrity.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, I have had several occasions of interacting with persons within the NPP who have said that one of the biggest challenges for the Vice President in terms of this presidential or flagbearership ambition would be the opinion people have of him that he is quite stingy, he doesn\u2019t give, contractors approach him on the basis of certain terms and the Vice President would not agree,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p><div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"BPNRm6XNW2c\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"People say Dr. Bawumia is stingy - Sulemana Braimah\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BPNRm6XNW2c?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Speaking in an interview on\u00a0<strong>JoyNews\u2019 Newsfile<\/strong>\u00a0on Saturday, Mr. Braimah stated that due to the \u201cstingy\u201d opinion people hold of him, \u201cit is legitimate for people to often say we wonder where he is going to get his money for the flagbearership campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, he is not surprised that the former Minister of State for the Finance Ministry, Charles Adu Boahen mentioned the Vice President in relation to elections when he engaged the supposed investors in the recent expose by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.<\/p>\n<p>It would be recalled that the dismissed Minister of State, Adu Boahen was alleged to have said in the under-cover expose, that Vice President Bawumia needed $200,000 as an appearance fee to meet prospective investors. This amount, according to him, would have been used by Dr. Bawumia for electoral campaign during the 2020 elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s not really, he\u2019s not really (like) that. All he needs is to worry about his campaign money in 2020,\u201d Charles Adu Boahen is heard saying in the video recording.<\/p>\n<p>But Dr Bawumia took to his Facebook page to deny the accusations and called for the Minister to be sacked and investigated by the Special Prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALSO READ:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Galamsey Economy expos\u00e9: Franklin Cudjoe has this to say about Bawumia [Listen]<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Appearance fee: A supposed investor called to enquire to see Dr Bawumia \u2013 Dr\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to him, his \u201ccherished asset\u201d is his integrity and he will not allow that to be tarnished.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Executive Director of Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), Sulemana Braimah has said he is not surprised by the alleged influence peddling in the latest Anas expos\u00e9, \u2018Galamsey Economy\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>This act of influence peddling, Mr. Braimah said is prevalent in the country because some acquaintances of Ministers and state officials have been engaging in such acts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can imagine what people will do when they are close to the Minister, the Vice-President and the President, and so for me, as I said, it is a test of character.
