The 29 Electoral Area Coordinators with over 1000 delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the Nsawam\/Adoagyiri Constituency of the Eastern Region say they want their MP, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, to go unopposed in the 2024 elections.<\/p>\n
The MP who is also the Majority Chief Whip\u2019s endorsement was led by the Constituency Chairman, Frances Akwa Rockson, popularly known as Stone.<\/p>\n
Mr Akwa Rockson announced this over the weekend during a football league tournament organised by Mr Frank Annoh-Dompreh for the electoral area coordinators and polling stations executives at Nsawam.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur MP has done a marvellous job in terms of roads, educational infrastructure, and health projects and has the lobbying skills which he is using to bring more projects to the constituency.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cMr Frank Annoh-Dompreh\u2019s outfit has undertaken projects in all the electoral areas, which all the members there have witnessed.\u201d<\/p>\n
The three-times Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency MP, over the weekend, kickstarted a football league in the area that will run from now till February 2023.<\/p>\n
The league is to help unearth talents and to boost economic activities in the area.<\/p>\n
The constituents are happy that through the MP\u2019s efforts, the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency has four astroturf under the Akufo-Addo-led government.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have four astroturfs and this is historic\u2026we are to have fun and entertain ourselves and at the end, we want to unite ourselves as one people.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thank the organizers for the great work done we have given every team little contributions but I am also giving extra contribution as I will give every team appearance fee of \u00a21,000 on Monday,\u201d Mr Annoh-Dompreh said prior to the kick-off ceremony.<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cWe are trying to unearth talent and incidentally it coincides with the world cup. We hope that with time we will be able to unearth a lot of talents from Nsawam-Adoagyiri\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Majority Chief Whip further expressed optimism about the NPP winning the 2024 general elections despite the current economic woes.<\/p>\n
The governing NPP is yet to open nominations for the parliamentary primaries which is expected to take place in June 2023.<\/p>\n
