{"id":1251862,"date":"2022-11-16T14:18:56","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T14:18:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/16\/global-stars-join-fifa-in-launching-football-unites-the-world-campaign\/"},"modified":"2022-11-16T14:18:56","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T14:18:56","slug":"global-stars-join-fifa-in-launching-football-unites-the-world-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/16\/global-stars-join-fifa-in-launching-football-unites-the-world-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Global stars join FIFA in launching Football Unites the World campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"479\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image_2022-11-16_064701017-696x479.png\"   alt=\"\" title=\"FIFA\"\/><\/div>\n<p>A host of international icons have joined forces to launch Football Unites the World, the campaign illustrating football\u2019s unrivalled ability to bring people together that will run throughout the FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Hassan Al-Haydos, Alisson Becker, Karim Benzema, Lucy Bronze, Didier Drogba, Giulia Gwinn, Kak\u00e1, Robert Lewandowski, Carli Lloyd, \u00c9douard Mendy, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Emmanuel Petit and Cristiano Ronaldo have all contributed to the launch videos which highlight the hope, joy and passion that are hallmarks of the most global sport ahead of a tournament that will be followed by more than five billion people worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>FIFA President Gianni Infantino said: \u201cFootball brings people together like nothing else and the FIFA World Cup will be a celebration of that unity and passion for the game we love so much.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>Under the umbrella Football Unites the World, FIFA will team up with a range of international partners and organisations to promote and highlight causes such as anti-discrimination, sustainability, and education during the FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Infantino continued: \u201cAlthough football is and should be our main focus, the FIFA World Cup is also about values and causes that extend far beyond the pitch and we are delighted that football stars past and present have joined us to promote and highlight these topics, which also unite the whole world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe campaign is there to celebrate football and the players have provided us with the ideal kick-off, but our sport is also about the fans.
