{"id":1251539,"date":"2022-11-16T07:54:10","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T07:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/16\/apologise-to-the-vice-president-anlo-npp-youth-to-spokesperson-of-the-awoamefia\/"},"modified":"2022-11-16T07:54:10","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T07:54:10","slug":"apologise-to-the-vice-president-anlo-npp-youth-to-spokesperson-of-the-awoamefia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/16\/apologise-to-the-vice-president-anlo-npp-youth-to-spokesperson-of-the-awoamefia\/","title":{"rendered":"Apologise to the Vice President \u2013 Anlo NPP youth to Spokesperson of the Awoamefia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"536\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-197-696x536.png\"   alt=\"\" title=\"Bawumia smile\"\/><\/div>\n<p>Disgruntled NPP members in Anloland have written to the President of the Anlo Traditional Council to impress on the Spokesperson of the Awoamefia, Agbotuada Kumasah, to render an unqualified apology to Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.<\/p>\n<p>The apology is for the \u201cunsavory commentaries\u201d Torgbivi Kumasah has made on various media platforms following the booing of the Vice President at the just-ended Hogbetsotso durbar.<\/p>\n<p>According to them, Torgbivi Kumasah\u2019s claim that the Vice President was booed for touting achievements that were non-existent was distasteful and painted a poor picture of the Anlo state.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuch comments from no less a person than Agbotadua Kumasah, made it look like the Vice President was deliberately invited by the Anlo state to be disgraced,\u201d the group said in a letter signed by the convener, Augustine Ocloo.<\/p>\n<p>They added that \u201cAgbotadua Kumasah cannot be too naive not to have seen the developmental activities that this government had undertaken in Anlo-land, a government Agbotadua Kumasah is an appointee for in the Keta Municipal assembly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe the disgruntled NPP youth of Anloland cannot stand aloof while this disgraceful, uncalled for, uncultured and developmentally crippling behavior go unanswered.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They are therefore demanding that Torgbivi Kumasah be made to render an apology to the State, the Vice President and the people of Anlo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Anlo Traditional\/State Council should explain to we the youth why they allowed members of the Hogbetsotso planning committee to set and lay the Vice President such ambush.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also demand that a disciplinary action be taken against Agbotaduah Kumassah for displaying such infantile attitude when he was rather expected to use the fine opportunity to emphasize the positives of the celebration,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n<p>According to them, should these demands be met, it will restore the confidence they have in the Anlo state and the Anlos as a people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernment is the biggest stakeholder in the development of every state, town and village in this country. We cannot claim to want development while we disrespect and express open hate and viciousness to people in authorities responsible for it.
