{"id":1251025,"date":"2022-11-15T12:54:08","date_gmt":"2022-11-15T12:54:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/15\/3rd-fintech-and-innovations-course-ends-in-accra\/"},"modified":"2022-11-15T12:54:08","modified_gmt":"2022-11-15T12:54:08","slug":"3rd-fintech-and-innovations-course-ends-in-accra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/15\/3rd-fintech-and-innovations-course-ends-in-accra\/","title":{"rendered":"3rd Fintech and Innovations Course ends in Accra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/5DCD8F49-3432-4F5C-8634-0DB322AD6465.jpeg\" alt=\"3rd Fintech and Innovations Course ends in Accra\" class=\" bd-imagestyles-16\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\n3rd Fintech and Innovations Course ends in Accra <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h2 class=\"s3\">Ghana\u2019s fintech space can accelerate its rate of Fintech innovations if there is a deeper collaboration between educational institutions, research entities and businesses, this assertion came to light during a two-day hybrid Fintech and Innovations course organised by Knowledge Innovations, Ghana Fintech and Payments Association in partnership with Global Centre for Fintech Innovations, providers of course certification.<\/h2>\n<p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s4\">The course topics includes financial technologies and digital transformation, Fintech key trends and applications, technologies and innovations driving Fintech; FinTech Legal and regulatory framework; fintech and Innovation; The Ghanaian Perspective, understanding cyber security risks in fintech; Emerging technologies driving Fintech and Innovation Strategy; Developing Your Fintech strategy. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s4\">The participants were taken through practical steps on how to apply key lesson learned in their day-to-day work activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s4\">The course was facilitated by leading experts in Ghana\u2019s Fintech space including Eric <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Nsarkoh<\/span><span class=\"s4\">, head of Engineering at Stanbic Bank, King Carl <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Tornam<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Duho<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> of <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Dataking<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> Research <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Lab,,<\/span><span class=\"s4\">Martin Kwame <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Awagah<\/span><span class=\"s4\">, the president of Ghana Fintech and Payments Association, Lawyer Richard <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Nunekpeku<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> of <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Sustineri<\/span><span class=\"s4\">Attorneys , Dr. Kwami Ahiabenu of Knowledge Innovations, Prince <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Adu<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> of Innovare and Henry <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Cobblah<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> of <\/span><span class=\"s4\">iSolveAfrica<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> and <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Skillmine<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s4\">21 participants took part in the training drawn from both private and public sectors organizations such as SIC Life Insurance, <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Mikgold<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> &#038; Associates <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Ltd ,B<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> systems, Penplusbytes, Hexagram, Prudential Bank, <\/span><span class=\"s4\">escripts<\/span><span class=\"s4\">-solutions and Mastercard Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s4\">Commenting on the workshop a participant, Mr. R. Clifton said \u201cTopics like blockchain, cryptocurrency, NFTs, <\/span><span class=\"s4\">CyberSecurity<\/span><span class=\"s4\">, sounded like rocket science and appeared so distant to me until the unique opportunity to attend Financial Technology (FinTech) and Innovations Training Course by Knowledge Innovations. Excellent course delivery and breakdown of financial technology and its enormous potential was absolutely remarkable.
