Enterprise Group, the largest risk management and financial services company in Ghana, has refurbished the Male Block of the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital in the Central Region at an estimated cost of \u00a22 Million.<\/p>\n
The refurbished Male Block comes with five wards, a conference room, a nurses\u2019 station, pantry, dining hall, treatment room, provision room and washrooms among others.<\/p>\n
The refurbishment of the Male Block forms part of the Enterprise Group\u2019s corporate social investments and its commitment to support the provision of sustainable healthcare to all.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the handing over ceremony,\u00a0 CEO of Enterprise Group, Keli Gadzekpo said, \u201cAt Enterprise Group we believe that being a good corporate citizen means that we have to be\u00a0internally well governed and externally responsible. \u00a0This is the reason why over the years, we have consistently involved ourselves in looking out for the vulnerable in society. We know the critical role\u00a0 Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital plays in the delivery of mental healthcare and we felt it a duty and an honor to respond to the hospital\u2019s appeal for help\u201d.<\/p>\n
He added that despite efforts by stakeholders to create awareness about mental health, more work needed to be done to promote sensitization, fight the stigma and improve healthcare delivery for persons with mental health conditions.<\/p>\n Director of the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital, Dr. Kwadwo Obeng, thanked Enterprise Group for its support.<\/p>\n He said the newly refurbished facility will go a long way to improve healthcare delivery at the center.
