{"id":1248506,"date":"2022-11-10T22:00:45","date_gmt":"2022-11-10T22:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/10\/vary-nana-agradaas-bail-conditions\/"},"modified":"2022-11-10T22:00:45","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T22:00:45","slug":"vary-nana-agradaas-bail-conditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/10\/vary-nana-agradaas-bail-conditions\/","title":{"rendered":"Vary Nana Agradaa&#8217;s bail conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Lawyers for Patricia Asiedu popularly known as Nana Agradaa have asked the Accra Circuit court 10 to vary the bail conditions given to the self-styled evangelist.<\/p>\n<p>She was granted a GH\u00a2150,000 bail with three sureties, one of whom must be justified with landed property.<\/p>\n<p>She was further directed to deposit her passport at the court registry.<\/p>\n<p>In court on Thursday however, her lawyer, Paul Asibi Abariga prayed the court to vary the conditions.<\/p>\n<p>He told the court that it\u2019s been difficult getting civil servants to stand as sureties for the television personality.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer thus prayed the court to vary the condition to allow any \u201cordinary Ghanaian \u201cto stand as surety for her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer also accused the Police of frustrating the bail execution process, as documents submitted two weeks ago have still not been attended to.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecution led by DSP Slyvester Asare, however, opposed the application.<\/p>\n<p>He told the court that Nana Agradaa had submitted the payslip of the sureties, which were being verified by the Controller and Accountant General.<\/p>\n<p>He wondered who an ordinary Ghanaian would be in the prayer of Nana Agradaa\u2019s lawyers, and prayed the court not to vary the terms.<\/p>\n<p>The case is adjourned to Friday, November 11, 2022, to determine bail variation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lawyers for Patricia Asiedu popularly known as Nana Agradaa have asked the Accra Circuit court 10 to vary the bail conditions given to the self-styled evangelist.
