The Dunkwa Sachet Water Producers Association is set to increase price of the product in the Municipality and its environs\u00a0due to high cost of production.<\/p>\n

Prices of sachet are expected to go up starting November 9th,2022.<\/p>\n

The Association hopes to announce the new price to help members meet the cost of production and improve the quality of the product.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Accordingly, the price of a bag of sachet water would sell at GH\u00a27.00.<\/p>\n

The normal iced sachet water will be sold at 40 Pesewas.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers noted that \u201cin the open market, consumers may expect to purchase a bag of sachet water between GH12.00 and GH15.00 depending on the shop location.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Ghana Plastic Manufacturers Association (GPMA) released new prices of plastic films and preforms used in sachet and bottled water packaging.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a result, most packaged water producers are currently unable to purchase materials to the expected levels while others are not operating as they cannot afford the losses of 45% on their working capital,\u201d the statement noted.<\/p>\n
