Lydia Forson is not enthused about the three-day fasting declared by the Church of Pentecost as a measure for an economic turnaround.<\/h2>\n

In her typical outspoken fashion, the actress and filmmaker exposed the hypocrisy associated with religion and its leaders by accusing them of using their position to advance their own agendas.<\/p>\n

In a series of tweets, Lydia said although prayer is necessary, it\u2019s being harnessed wrong in this context as religious leaders don\u2019t use the same energy to hold the government accountable for their blatant abuse of power. <\/p>\n

\u201cImagine the church actually took a position to HOLD government accountable beyond prayers. Imagine the church used its power\/influence to get our government to do right by its people. Lydia Forson further urged the clergy to go beyond simply offering prayers. She pushed them to speak out against the unfair treatment of their flock.<\/p>\n
