Twitter has permanently suspended Ghanaian rapper,\u00a0Medikal, for allegedly impersonating the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.<\/p>\n
The suspension, made official on November 9, 2022, by the bird application, currently shows a blank account on the artiste\u2019s page, with the notice, \u2018Account Suspended,\u2019 welcoming people visiting it.<\/p>\n
This was after several social media users reported the \u2018Stubborn Academy\u2019 artiste for impersonation, giving the new owner, Elon Musk, no choice but to immediately take action and suspend the artiste from his app.<\/p>\n
On November 6, 2022, Elon Musk shared a tweet forewarning users that he would suspend any account purporting other people.<\/p>\n
\u201cGoing Forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying \u2018parody\u2019 permanently suspended.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reacting to the post, social media users have shared several reactions commiserating with the artiste, while others have mocked him for acting \u2018dumb\u2019.<\/p>\n
A user said, \u201cThem say\u00a0Medikal\u00a0has been suspended by the new IGP of Twitter, Lmao you people.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another said, \u201cIf you give Elon Musk a chance, he go use you do scapegoat.\u00a0Medikal\u00a0committed himself y\u2019all need to free Beno cos he was joking.\u201d<\/p>\n
