{"id":1247255,"date":"2022-11-09T12:40:51","date_gmt":"2022-11-09T12:40:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/09\/dj-vyrusky-crowned-dj-of-the-year-at-2022-ghana-dj-awards\/"},"modified":"2022-11-09T12:40:51","modified_gmt":"2022-11-09T12:40:51","slug":"dj-vyrusky-crowned-dj-of-the-year-at-2022-ghana-dj-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/09\/dj-vyrusky-crowned-dj-of-the-year-at-2022-ghana-dj-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"DJ Vyrusky crowned &#8216;DJ of the Year&#8217; at 2022 Ghana DJ Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/DJ-Vyrusky-Ghana-DJ-Awards-2022.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"article-text\">\n<p>DJ Vyrusky emerged as the \u2018DJ of the Year\u2019 at the 2022 Ghana DJ Awards, after leading this year\u2019s nominations with seven impressive nods.<\/p>\n<p>He won two awards, namely the \u2018Best Southern Zone DJ\u2019 and the biggest honour of the night, \u2018DJ of the Year\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Born Kofi Amoako, DJ Vyrosky defeated other DJs \u2013 including DJ Faculty, DJ Sly King, DJ Mic Smith, DJ MJ, and DJ Aroma, to win the coveted prize.<\/p>\n<p>The 10th edition of the annual show took place on Saturday, November 5, at the Silver Star Tower in Accra.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Joy Entertainment on the sidelines of the show, DJ Vyrusky commended organisers and producers of the awards ceremony for the initiative, saying it has helped in the elevation of some unknown and upcoming DJs in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should acknowledge Merqury Quaye a lot. I mean, every day things come up. I always win, but sometimes that\u2019s not even the category I want to win.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are some categories I feel I have to win, but I never win. I feel I should win event DJ every year because I rock every event and I play almost every event in Ghana\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-myjoyonline-com wp-block-embed-myjoyonline-com\"\/>\n<p>\u201cThis is something that has helped us get recognised more.
